Adam Frus was first introduced to glass in 1997. His initial experiences were enjoyed with family at Jacksonville University, taking Adult Education courses with his Father and Brother. “We came to the table with a three man team. It was an ideal learning situation.” Adam and his family quickly became immersed into the glass community; joining the Glass Art Society (G.A.S.), teaching classes and helping glass artist Tim Miller build his first studio. When Adam moved to Arizona in 2003, he quickly became involved with the local glass blowing community. He began teaching classes at the Mesa Arts Center (MAC) in October, 2003. Shortly afterward, he began working as an assistant for a well known Scottsdale Artist. In 2006 he was involved in opening Circle 6 Studios, Inc., a glass studio in the Central Phoenix area. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University in 2007, Adam opened Frus Glass and began his career as an artist. In 2009, Adam became the artist in residence at the MAC. His work can be viewed at the MAC Store, or at various art shows throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. |
